Art Installations
We commission talented contemporary artists to create immersive and engaging art installations for children. These inspiring artworks spark creative thinking, imagination and play in children that is unique to our mission. Your support not only helps to bring these installations to life, but also provides continuous upkeep of the art by extending the life of favorite installations for many years and families to enjoy, and supports the artist. It also helps to supply art materials such as clay, paint and other materials in our Paint + Clay Studios and The Rosso Family Foundation Innovators LAB.
Access Programs
We believe every child should have access to enriching art and play experiences regardless of their life circumstances. Our access programs, including Accessibility Mornings, Museums for All, Discover & Go Library program and Blue Star Museums, all provide free or deeply discounted access to the Museum to thousands of children. Your support ensures these valuable programs remain available for more children to access every year.
Community Outreach + Education
We are strongly committed to being a community and educational resource by partnering with local social service and family-focused organizations in San Diego. Community outreach and education programs including pARTners in Creativity, Mass Creativity and School Visits, reach deeply into communities to stimulate, cultivate and nurture creativity for children. We also create, assemble and deliver art kits and lesson plans to various groups, students and educators in the county. Your support furthers our impact beyond the walls of the Museum.
