Birthday Parties

Celebrate your child’s birthday at either our downtown Museum or Art + Play Space location in Del Mar! All birthday packages include admission to our spaces for your entire party. For birthday parties at the Del Mar location (best suited for 4 and under), please scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Party Basics:

• Days: Monday + Wednesday-Sunday
• Party Times: 9:30-11:30am or 1:30-3:30pm
• Location: Party room varies based on party size and capacity (downtown location)
• Pricing: $200 – $1,200 based on package
• Food/drink: Guests may bring their own (or order from the Museum’s Bean Sprouts Café)
• Members: 10% discount on all packages + one free add-on
• Military: 10% discount on all packages

All Parties Include:

• Museum admission for your entire party
• Reserved birthday space for 2 hours
• 1 free admission pass for each child in party to visit the Museum at a later date
• Access for party guests to play in the Museum (entire day of party)
• 1 free parking spot for Birthday Family in Museum garage
• Museum gift bag for the Birthday Child
• Access to party space 30 minutes prior to party to set up

The Cafe Party Package

• $200 (member: $180)
• 12 people max (includes adults + children)
• Private party space on Café Patio
• Reserved for 2 hours
• Food must be ordered from Bean Sprouts Café

Party Place Package

• $400 (member: $360); semi-private (15 people max)
• $600 (member: $540); private (30 people max)
• Space in Party Place on lower level
• Reserved for 2 hours
• Dedicated Party Concierge

Arts Education Center Package

• $750 (member: $675)
• 40 people max (includes adults + children)
• Private party space in Arts Education Center
• Reserved for 2 hours
• Dedicated Party Concierge

Upstairs Outdoor Patio Package

• $1,200 (member: $1,080)
• 50 people max (includes adults + children)
• Private party space on upstairs patio
• Reserved for 2.5 hours
• Dedicated Party Concierge

Optional Add-Ons

• $50: Birthday set up and clean up assistance
• $50: Hands-on activity*
• $50: Birthday paper goods (birthday sign, table cover, plates, napkins and utensils)
• $25: Dance Party*

*No hands-on activity or dance party for The Cafe Party package.

Party Basics:

• Days: Saturday + Sunday
• Party Times: 1-3pm
• Location: Full use of the Art + Play Space (closed to public during party)
• Pricing: $600 (member: $540)
• Food/drink: Guests may bring their own (no alcohol and other restrictions apply)
• Members + Military: 10% discount

All Parties Include:

• Admission to the space (30 people max)
• Exclusive use of space for 2 hours
• 1 free admission pass for each child in party to visit at a later date
• Validated parking for one car (birthday family) in Del Mar Plaza garage
• Museum gift bag for the Birthday Child
• Access to space 30 minutes prior to party to set up
